There was great excitement in the Horse and Hound on Sunday 31st Jan 2016 as both our u11 and u13 teams were runners up in this year’s New Ross Credit Union Primary Schools Quiz.

Peadar, Kyran, Patrick and Jack made a great comeback in the last 3 rounds of the u13 competition to come from behind to within one point of the winners Marymount, The Rower.

Hannah, Stephen,Sean C and Finn were in contention for most of the u11 competition and incredibly they were level at the end of the rounds with once again,Marymount,The Rower. The two teams went into a playoff round ,with the Kilkenny team winning that by just one point.

Well done to our great quiz teams . All of us in Shielbaggan are very proud of you!!

The u13 team also delighted with their achievement! These boys were also runners up when they competed in the u11 quiz two years ago.
