Thanks to Creative Schools, we were able to invite two artists to the school recently and all of the children participated in the “Missing” Workshop. We learned about biodiversity and about a number of insects that are in danger, in particular, the solitary bee. We drew and designed and then made shells as part of Mark Clare’s project .

Mark hopes to collect 1 million shells to create a work of art to highlight the number of species that are in danger in the world.

Mairéad Stafford, ceramic artist was on hand to help with the pottery. We all had a really enjoyable day.
