Many thanks to our local Coast Guard for paying us a visit this week. We learned a lot about the great work that they do and as you can see we had some fun trying out some of the equipment
We turned our attention to trees this week. We learned about the legendary "Green Man" the mythical guardian of the trees. We were thrilled to create our own "Green Men"-our trees are well protected now!
This week we explored birds-how they fly, where they live and how to identify some of our common garden birds. We had a great time creating our own garden birds using clay.

We have just started a five-week programme with artist Órla Bates under the Heritage in Schools scheme. We will explore living things and biodiversity over the course of the next five weeks. We had great fun today exploring our hedgerows

Rang 4,5,6 attended a really interesting webinar hosted by Kerry Biosphere recently. We learned all about insects and how they see the world. We made some terrific drawings too!
