On Tuesday 15th of March primary schools all around the country took part in an event to commemorate the 1916 Rising.

Fr Kenny was here to raised the tricolour after being presented with it by the oldest and youngest pupil in the school.

Mr O’Flaherty read the proclamation followed by pupils from the junior and senior classrooms who read a proclamation for a new generation they had prepared themselves.

In the senior room a play was performed outlining the main events of the 1916 Rising.
