We turned our attention to trees this week. We learned about the legendary "Green Man" the mythical guardian of the trees. We were thrilled to create our own "Green Men"-our trees are well protected now!
We have just started a five-week programme with artist Órla Bates under the Heritage in Schools scheme. We will explore living things and biodiversity over the course of the next five weeks. We had great fun today exploring our hedgerows
We were lucky to have renewed both our Green-Schools Flag and our Active Schools Flag last year. Before Easter, Mr Walsh raised our ASF and the cailíní in Rang 6 raised the Green-Schools Flag. A great reward for all

The Juniors have been very busy in recent weeks with S.E.S.E.. They have been on scavenger hunts, planted peas and sunflowers and conducted science experiments. As you can see from these photos-learning is great fun!
Thanks to New Ross Library for the donation of a class set of kites last week. We enjoyed watching the video and learning about the history of flight and then designing our own kites and letting them fly high!
